Thomas McKenzie died 1841-1851
« on: Wednesday 26 February 14 23:38 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find the Mortcloth Record, headstone or similar, listing the death date of Thomas McKenzie.  He appears in the 1841 Census for Dirleton (as McKindgie) as an agricultural laborer in Fenton.  I have searched SP in the OPR and statutory records to no avail.

Are there any books/documents or other sources for cemeteries in Dirleton or Fenton?  Any suggestions where to go - other than booking a flight?

I appreciate your help.

Scott

Hi Scott,

Do you know that Thomas definitely died between those years?
I assume you have been unable to find him on the 1851?
Looby :)

Amended - Ignore the above question.  I've just found Thomas' s wife Catherine and some of his children on the 1851 and Catherine is recorded as a widow.
