George Maxfield marriage Chesterfield C1807
« on: Friday 26 September 14 16:57 BST (UK) »
I am trying to confirm a marriage for George Maxfield, possibly to Hannah Goodwin in 1807. George had been baptised in Old Brampton in 1784, son of William and Esther. His marriage does not appear in the Old Brampton PR's.

He was later convicted of theft and transported to Australia but I think I can trace his family in Sheffield from 1841 onwards.. However I can't be sure unless I can find the missing marriage.. I don't have access to Chesterfield PR's so if anyone here does, I'd appreciate some help  :)

Thank you for that.

There's a spelling variation I hadn't thought of! It could be the couple I'm looking at but would be nice if it gave his father's name to add more confidence.  ::)
