I am tracing my husband's family and have hit a block with William Meben, above. I strongly believe that his parents/grandparents came from the Scottish lowlands during the Ulster Plantation. This correlates with oral family history that ancestors were Scottish horse thieves

William married Marceline Oddson or Odsson, whose parents were Icelandic: Valdimar Oddson, b.1647 in Iceland and Stefania Torfadottir, b. 1650 in Iceland.
I have a solidly established family line back to this point but cannot find further information. ANY help or leads would be very much appreciated. There are several variations of the family name (ours is Mebane) and I can also provide other family members' names (brothers, sisters, cousins, etc.) from 1665 through 2014. Thank you!
