Found 1861 census for Charles... showing him working as a blacksmith in..Monmouthshire!.  Once I get the birth certificate i'll know for sure, but theres a high possibility of William P being an illegitimate child? He could of hidden the fact from Ruth.

Interesting.B

Hi all
.

.. heres the twist however, the only relevant record I can find for a Charles Simkins, is the 1871 England Census.  Where there is a William Breenan put down as a "nurse child".

If you look at the image of this census the name looks more like "Brennan"

Suz
Thornhill, Cresswell, Sisson, Harriman, Cripps, Eyre, Walter, Marson, Battison, Holmes, Bailey, Hardman, Fairhurst Noon-mainly in Derbys/Notts-but also Northampton, Oxford, Leics, Lancs-England

Got the birth certificate for W.Brenin F.William Brenin M Catherine Brenin formerly something like ulladden alladden? Would it be ok to attach a photo of her surname as i'm finding it hard to decipher. William Brenin was born in the Union Workhouse Abergavenny.
