Hello Lucy2

You have made great progress, thank you, fingers crossed that you have the correct William Murray!

The wills/probate I was after were for Jessie Gardiner Linton nee Murray and Jean Beattie Bull nee Murray but Jean does not have a probate but someone mentioned earlier that Jean's husband Edward Ivan Denholm Bull does have a probate.

Should I make up a new request on the New Zealand Board?

Thanks again
Oletta

Hello Lucy2

Jeanette very kindly went and got Thomas's probate, on it there is William Murray, Jessie Gardiner Linton and Jean Beattie Bull.

But also going through somemore information that Jeanette had found for me was Thomas's record of death and there are three females aged 68,50 and 47 and one male aged 54 which will be William and Thomas died on the 6 June 1955.

Best wishes
Oletta

Hi Oletta

I see some of your questions have been answered meantime.  ;)

I'm still gleaning info for the William MURRAY - d. 1966 ... will report back shortly.

*   Did the probate record you received for Thomas MURRAY (d. 1955) mention where any of his children were living ??

Thomas' will was made in 1947,he left 50 pounds each to William ,Jessie and Jean.
He died in 1955

William was described as a watersider living at Devonport in his mother's 1930 probate

Hi again Oletta

Could you just clarify please, if above information re: Thomas' record of death, came from the funeral director ?     And was Thomas' death notice ever sourced ??

The following further electoral listings are possibly for the William MURRAY (son of Thomas and Barbara MURRAY) ?

1928 - Auckland Central

MURRAY - William - waterside worker - 139 Victoria Street West

1931 - Auckland Central

Same listing ... and have also checked to see if that listing was removed from roll (it doesn't appear to have been).

Despite searching further (in a random manner, because there are many "William MURRAY" listings and also changes of occupation become a factor), I have not located this man after 1931.
