M y grandfather, William Macdonald, retired as gamekeeper on the Bowlby estate and emigrated to California in 1924 or 1925.  I believe my great grandfather and his father were also game,keepers there, and are buried there.  Angus Macdonald and another William.  My mother, Catherine, and uncle Angus, were born in Knoydart.  I am looking for information prior to a visit in September.  Thanks.

I think the Bowlby's owned Knoydart, there's a large Celtic cross memorial there to the family.
