« on: Sunday 09 November 14 14:44 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for anyone connected to the family of James S. Kincaid, formerly of 6 Union Street, Greenock, who married Henrietta Johns Drummond in 1946.

Kincaids (Kincade, Kinkaid, Kinkead, etc.) of Counties Londonderry and Tyrone.

Gardiners of Ramelton, County Donegal.

Scotlandspeople have James Simpson Kincaid -m- Henrietta Johns Drummond, at Greenock West 1946.
You will have to purchase some credits from them, to order the certificate,

John

I scoured Scotlands People.  I am looking for living people in the area who are of the family or knew them.

You could try contacting the Greenock Telegraph, it's probably your best chance.

These are your choices...BT Telephone and 192.com there are only about 4-5 in Greenock perhaps you'll get lucky and find a relative.

However as Henrietta died in 1947 I don't know if they had children. The only way to tell will be on James 1989 Death Reg or at least it will give an informant.

Don

Thanks Don.  I am assuming he was the son of William Kincaid and Margaret Chalmers Simpson.  He was the informant to his father's death record of 29 February 1948 and was at that time living at 6 Union Street, Greenock.  He does not show up in the 1911 census but his older brother Robert and sister Catherine do.  His parents were married on 5 July 1907.  I am really hoping to get in contact with this family as I think they are connected to mine.

If you seriously want to contact this family, as one who is resident in Greenock, my advice, is to contact the Greenock Telegraph.

This newspaper has,a large distribution in the Inverclyde area, it is without a doubt, your best chance of making contact with the family.
