Hugh GORDON and Mary Ann DUKES

Hugh GORDON and Mary Ann DUKES married (England? Ireland?) and had a son Hugh GORDON born around 1871 (and died in Scotland in 1930).  I am trying to track where in England he was born, plus any information relating to Mary Ann DUKES and Hugh GORDON's marriage, date, place etc.  I have loads of Scottish GORDON certificates as Hugh (the son) married Annabella Hodgins in 1888 and our branch stems from there.  Any help greatly appreciated.

On Hugh jnr's marriage (and death) what occupation did it give for his father?
Were any of his or Annabella's parents listed as deceased on the 1888 marriage record?
Also, who were the witness' to his marriage to Annabella?

there is a william hugh gordon born 1869 with parents hugh and mary
they are living in the county of durham in 1881
william hugh gordons place of birth is down as scotland.
could this possibly be yours.

Thanks for the information so far.  I have attached two clips from the marriage of Hugh and Annabella and also the census (1901) that places Hugh's birth as being in England.  I would welcome the details of William Hugh, but I reckon if his birth is given as Scotland then it may be the wrong one.

his occ is a caulker of iron ship

Thanks to a contact in Australia, I have solved the mystery (partly).  The Hugh Gordon who married Mary Anne Duke was actually Hugh GORMAN.  His son however, changed his name to Hugh GORDON when he moved back to Scotland and married Annabella Hodgins.  I have tracked down Hugh GORMAN is all the census returns in Scotland 1881, 1891, and 1901 plus his death certificate.
