St Margaret's marriage look up please?
« on: Tuesday 28 October 14 15:51 GMT (UK) »
Is anyone able to look up a marriage at st Margaret's church for me please?  It was on December 20 1825, William Hunt to Alice Hopkins.  I was just wondering if any more information is on the parish record, eg parents' names, etc?  Thanks in advance :-)

Hi Hilary

The fathers name wasn't recorded until 1837, but there may have been witnesses on the entry. I can tell you from notes I have that William Hunt was a widower when he married Alice Hopkins.

Hope that helps a bit

That's interesting, thank you.  You mention notes - are the Hunts part of your family tree?

No not part of my tree

I have some marriage details for around that period that I transcribed whilst looking for my own line.
