Ferris, Pentland & McGeown

Hi,
  I'm looking for a Pentland, from Lurgan, who married a James Edward Ferris in early 1900s, it could be a Salvation Army marriage.

 Also a Miss McGeown, from Dromore Rd. Lurgan, who married a William J Ferris in 1910 +.

Also looking for the birth of William John Ferris, about 1859, his father was a William ferris, thanks.

      I have had a look and cannot find anything resembling Pentland. I also could not find McGeown but I have found several Ferris/McKeown marriages in the right time frame  but these are all Roman Catholic marriages.

Thanks kingskerswell for looking, I'm pretty sure they were Pentland & McGeown, so I'll keep looking for a while longer.

James Edward is single in the 1911 Census so marriage is after that date

Hi doylers94,
                 I know now that James Edward married a Pentland and had one son, he went on to be a cricketer, schoolteacher and part time preacher, I'm hoping to get marriage details, etc, soon.
That, as far as I'm concerned is William J, all of the childrens names match the family names, so will take it as true untill I get the wedding certificate.

I am going to try and get you a pic of his grave I am now assuming he is buried in Lurgan Cemetry so I will ring Martin at Kernan cemetery who  keeps the records and see if he can give me a plot number as Lurgan graves are not like the local Catholic St Colemans where everyone buried in a certain year are grouped together. Will keep you posted
