There is a lot of information on this board. I to am searching for a Patrick Sinnett or Sinnott born 1752 in Wexford. He came to America in 1773 and landed in Dumfries, Va. so it is said. He married a Catherine Hevener and settled in the Va. / WV area till his deat in 1850. I'm looking for any information on parents, brothers, sisters, anything in Wexford that conects him in his 21 years there. thank you.
Sinnett, Synnott, Sinnott

I have a great deal of general information on the Sinnott family in Ireland which I would be glad to share. My GGGranfather, Patrick M Sinnott was from St. John's Gate just outside of Wexford. His extended family were tradesmen in the leather and fabric industries. I was able to obtain some birth marriage death data from the Wexford church records and the civil records but have not been able to establish any contact with living family members in Ireland. Patrick immigrated to Baltimore and established a successful men's habidashery business. He had married a woman named Mary Bolger in Ireland but lost her to ships disease after arrival. He remarried a woman named Catherine Henry at the Basilica in Baltimore in January of 1858 and they had a number of children only two of which survived to be adults. Are you by any chance in Maryland and does any of this look like it fits your Sinnott?
Thank you for the response and let me know if I can help your research.

Given the leather and tradesmen links, I am curious to know if you are aware of any shoemakers in your ancestors extended family?

My Sinnott ancestors George Sinnott (1793-1876) and Edward Synnott (1838-1907) were shoemakers in Castlepollard, County Westmeath.

I was interested to see you mentioned a Susan Sinnot and John Hore marriage. Only by chance I saw a post last night with the marriage of a couple with the same names.
13/11/1803 JOHN HORE SUSAN SINOTT James Hays and Thomas Devereux.
The record I believe came from the Oylegate/Glenbrien church records. My gggrandfather was John Hore b c 1881 in Oylegate. His parents were James Hore and Mary Roche and all I have been able to find about James b c 1850 was his father was also a James Hore and mother's first name was Johanna. I would be very interested to know if you had any more information about the Hore family?
Regards,
Martina
