Horse & Jockey Inn at Cumwhinton near Carlisle
« on: Friday 31 October 14 10:08 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

This is probably a long shot but I am after a photograph of the Horse & Jockey Inn at Cumwhinton.  My ancestors ran it from the early 1890's until it shut in 1914.  I have looked in some local books whilst visiting the Carlisle area but no joy.  It is now a smart looking house in Cumwhinton, but I would desperately like to see what it was like back then.

Many Thanks

James

I am assuming that you have tried the Frith collection, and nothing showing?

Have you considered the archive collection of the local newspaper, and contacting the most local history society of the area?

Lots of hits on google searches for the pub:
