St Lazerians Cemetery Laois
« on: Saturday 30 July 05 23:42 BST (UK) »
I went out tonight 30th/7/05 to St Lazerians Cemetery which is between Abbeyleix/Ballinakill/Spink area of Laois.

I went thru the net and found no record of the Cemetery ajacent to the church.

I noted all the headstones I could read (some very old and not readable) and have a record of same.
I have it saved on a disc and mabye could sent it to those interested (it's long!!) or if you think you have a relative there e-mail me and I will check my list.
I'm no expert, but mabye it will help someone.
Jack.

Hiya Jack,

As soon as I read your message I said to myself there are a lot of people who don't know where in Ireland their ancestors lived. Documents such as marriage certs may well just say "Ireland". I realise it's impossible for you to post all the information on your disk but could you possibly list the surnames.

All the Best, Chris

Could you please see if Denis & Mary Anne Fitzpatrick are on your list?  Denis passed in 1924 and Mary Anne passed in 1912. They lived in Iry & I have no idea where they would have been buried.

Thank you very much!

I have searched all my records for the Fitzpatrick's mentioned, but to no avail.

A lot of Fitzpatrick in Ballyfin old & new cemetery's, but not those names.

Could not find any record of them on www.rootsirelsnd.ie, either.

Found no 'second' name of Denis (ie. son-father)

There is a Mary Anne, but not with Denis.
