I see that Stan has provided the index details for you, but as well as FreeBmd, there is also the local registrars search page at http://online.gateshead.gov.uk/bmd/.
Though 'their' references are not usable to order from the GRO and vice versa.

One known child born Gateshead area 1923. If they had the child baptized in the CofE it should have been in St. John, Greenside if they were living at Crawcrook in 1923. May still be alive so cannot give name!

I see Uprights mainly in Easington, Auckland, Darlington area

Hi

Just joined RootsChat.

My grandparents were Ralph and Kelsey Wright and I remember going to the chemist shop in the 50s and early 60s.  They moved to Ryton in the early 60s.

Their only child, my father, was also Ralph Wright who became a GP.  He married Joan Howitt from Wylam in 1949.  They had two sons, myself and Nigel Wright; my brother lives in Marske.

I married Kathleen Kenny in Redcar in 1975 and now live in Hexham.  We have three children, Kathryn, Michael and Joanna.  Have on granddaughter, Emily who is nearly 2 years old.

I would be very interested in any more details of my grandparents.

 Regards

Ralph Wright

Hi
Hope you had a good holiday.
Thanks for you kind comments about my grandmother.
See moved to a bungalow on Holburn Lane which is down from the Runhead pub.  The bungalow was called "Alenus".

My father, Ralph, died in Redcar in 1995 and my mother,Joan,in 2001.

Regards

Ralph
