Just to add I have just looked at Yelvertoft burials from 1813-1880's.

No mention of any diseases.

I have the deaths of a husband and wife, Northampton 1832 Feb 15th (buried 22nd) and March 24th (buried 29th) - in the family vault at College Street Chapel burial yard.  Sounds suspiciously like an epidemic - but what?

My Great Grandmother Emma Sophia Flawn died on the 24th September 1897 of Enteric Fever which I understand is another name for Typhoid.  Her Death Certificate states she died at Rushden.  A neighbour, Thomas Waite also died at about the same time of Typhoid Fever, I believe in Little Addington where they both lived.
Brackenbury, Clynick, Craddock, Flawn, Ford, Huxham, Kelly, Mills, Nurrish, Ryder, Shea, Soper, Whitworth - all in England & Ireland.

I've just received a death certificate which may add to this list (is it still running?)

32 year old William Claypole (originally from Great Easton and Finedon) died April 20th 1865 from Smallpox - lasted 5 days.

I do have a query though:

The Registration District is declared as Northampton Union
His address: 41 Arthur Street, Kingsthorpe.

Does this signify anything to do with Northampton Union Workhouse?

Alan
Leicester / Northampton: Craxford,  Claypole, Pridmore, Pollard, Tansley, Crane, Tilley
Derby: Naylor, Ball, Haywood
Buckinghamshire: Cook
London: Craxford, Lane Crauford
Tyneside: Nessworthy, Simpson

All Registration Districts were based on the Poor Law Unions, nothing to do with Workhouses.
