St Lawrence or St Marys, Reading, Berkshire.
« on: Friday 11 July 14 13:34 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Can anyone look up a baptism for a Charles Whiting around 1788-1791? He is my 3x great grandfather who was according to the census born in Newnham, Hampshire but cannot find him there. He married in Petersfield but I believe he may have had connections to Reading, either St Lawrence or St Marys, parish. Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.  Sue.

No Charles WHITING in the Reading, St Lawrence baptisms.   I only have St Mary from 1813 I'm afraid.

Hi Harry,

Many thanks for looking for me. Did you find any Whitings at all? My Charles had brothers David, George and I believe a Richard and a sister, Mary, parents were Henry and Mary Ann Whiting. Charles and his siblings all married in Petersfield, Hants, but were not from there. Richards marriage entry states he was from St Lawrence, Reading. I am clutching at straws but would appreciate any help you could give me.

Many Thanks   Sue.

Sue,

There are WHITINGs in St Lawrence but none baptised with the correct parents I'm afraid.
