Thomas ARCHER, 1851 census, Abingdon (Completed, with thanks)
« on: Sunday 31 August 14 13:55 BST (UK) »
Thomas ARCHER, 52, gardiner, wife Susannah, 56, and children, Elizabeth, 27, Sarah, 19 and Thomas 17, all shown as born and living in Abingdon in the 1851 census.

The children are all  given as makers but I can't decipher what.  Can anyone help please?

The census ref is: HO107; Piece: 1688; Folio: 253; Page: 23

Sarah is my point of interest and she marries John SMITH the following year.  I have them and their children from then on.

I think Thomas is an Apprentice Coachmaker. The girls are Waistcoat makers.

Thank you :)

Thomas's occupation fits with Sarah's husband's.  He was a coach smith.
