OK, one more (now getting like holiday photos!). The one below from 1883 makes me laugh now as this came up in my very early days of researching my family and I was so confused by certs like this one  ::) Promise now really, my last!

Thanks so much Monica. The name change certainly is clear in the records you shared. My relatives would have been alive in the same time period. This couple likely died in the 1840's or 1850's.  I haven't found Donald McDonald's death certificate on SP yet.......just possibilities. When I hit a brickwall be it big or small I work on a different branch of the family tree and then come back to it. I have a possible marriage now and will start the hunt for Donald and Christie's deaths. I'll let you know if I find their deaths. I really appreciate your help.
Kind regards, Nan

Hi Sue,
We exchanged some information on the Clark family. How are you? Are you still researching your Clark family? I have been working on other branches lately. I made contact with a second cousin on my mother's father's side. We have been exchanging information for some time and will meet for the first time next week. He's coming up to Canada from the USA. Exciting, isn't it?
Regards, Nan

Hello nan
yep still researching the Clark clan and yes looking at those you are researching. The McGregor's interested me. One researcher had us related to Robert ROB ROY McGregor, but confusedly had Ann who was married to John Clark senior also married to two other men. It is so frustrating and the only way I am going to do any of this is when I retire. I will need to travel up to Scotland and find the actual records. I find all the family including the Mccorquodale's so interesting and would love like you to find as much information on them as possible. I would love to find living family members up in Scotland.  :)

Hi Sue,
I'm sure I told you that I have copies of the death certificates for John Clark 1806-1870, his wife Catherine McDonald 1812-1895, and his mother Ann McGregor 1778-1858. I couldn't find John Sr's death but he was not in the 1861 census. If you would like copies of these, please send me your email address via a pm. I think I sent you some records before but am not positive.
I have no further information on Ann McGregor or Catherine McDonald's parents.
