Thank you everyone for your help. With your help I was able to send for and receive over the Christmas period, Mathew and Bridget Duffy's marriage certificate. They were indeed married in Fermoy Co Cork at the Barracks 0f the Fifth Regiment of Fusiliers on the 8Th of July, 1832. Wittiness' were James Curley and Shee Brown. Bridget died in 1844 with her babe Bridget. Sargeant Mathew Answer resigned from the army and married Alice Barks in Lincoln 1851. He died 28Th of June 1864.
Another twist is that a relation of some sorts was married on Mauritius. Alice Answer married a James Watson on 13Th of Feb.1849 at the same time as  Sargeant Mathew was on Mauritius. Private Watson was a soldier with the Res. Battalion, 5Th Fusiliers.
A real twist in the tale. Thank you all again.
Again thankyou to everyone who got me to this place
