county lunatic asylum
« on: Friday 07 March 14 20:27 GMT (UK) »
The medical record for a great aunt in Leicester suggested that her maternal grandmother Rebecca Butler nee Bradshaw had spent time in lunatic asylum.  Rebecca lived in Cottingham Northamptonshire and she died in 1855.  Does anyone know which lunatic asylum she was likely to be a patient in?  It would have been in the 1840's or 1850's I think.
