Yes Jan, me too...
It is lovely to think that we have managed to bring their memory back... bless them.
So now awaiting certificate... fingers crossed.
Am curious also to see the cause of death for the boys... So thats another couple of certs.
This wonderful lady Sarah Clarke my g.g.grandmother (maternal side) was born in 1841 - in Shenton. She had 8 children in all ....
Sarah Elizabeth - who I knew quiet well she was the matriarch of my family. 1867 - 1957
Sarah was known as Auntie Lizzie and she didnt have children.
Then there was Thomas 1871 - 1945 Now he was never mentioned in the family at all ... until I started my research, I had no idea of his existence... He did have quiet a large family.
Then Eliza 1873 - 1929 married and moved to Canada where she did have children and the family was very proud of how she settled out there.
Then MY gt. Nan Alice 1875 - 1911 sadly she died of TB - however not before she had produced
My Nan and her siblings.
There are then the two babies that, between us on Roots we have found and I have mentioned above.. Walter and Arthur bless them never ever spoken of and without the 1911 I would never have known of their existence.
now there is the possibility of little baby Charles..
fingers crossed on that one.
So it seems like after 3 very sad little ones leaving us.. she waited a while and then had
Ernest he was born in 1889 and then sadly died in 1918 WW1.. he had married and had a son Ernest jnr.
The Newspaper report of his death states that the shock of hearing the news caused Sarah to also pass away..
Bless her - I can just about imagine - how she must have felt. Poor lady - Now I hope to have found her children and if she is watching I bet she is 'chuffed' .....
