need help

Please could someone help. I a new to irish history and would like help in tracing my 3x gr8 grandfather. He was born in 1841 poss limericks father john doyle. He was married in 1864 to anne Burke in amputee India he joined the royal horse artillery  possibly in castle connell and occasionally poss serpent. He died 1871 India. Wife 're married. Hope someone can help me please as I don't know where to look many thanks steph

Hi Stephanie, do you have his first name? Amputee, India - do you mean Muree?

Serpent ? Was he a sergeant in the Royal Artillery?

  I am yes his name was William Doyle. And he was possible servent before joining up. He died in India possible kamptee. It's this kindle it keeps changing the words
