McCarthy family TRALEE Co Kerry
« on: Monday 11 February 13 23:50 GMT (UK) »
In 1911 Census I have John McCarthy head Army sergeant Pensioner, wife Mary Sub Postmistress
Son Maurice 19, post office assistant, Christina Mary 15, John Joseph 13, Henry 11, Michael St John 9, Timothy Joseph McEnery brother to Mary McCarthy. 1 Windmill St, Tralee.

If this family is familiar or related to anyone please get in touch. I am anxious to trace Maurice born 1891 and Henry b. 1899 particularly marriages for both.  All the family were born in Co Kerry.
Thank you for any assistance. :)

my late father was from Tralee and his mother was a McCarthy, only my dad never really spoke about him family.

McCarthy listed on the church site:  http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie

looks like they were in the Barracks Boherbee
on Maurice Baptism 8.11.1891
have you been in touch with the Main Post Office to see if Maurice took over the running of the Post Office at any time.
Should be Elector list for Tralee possible in the library.
Wedding for Mary and John 11.1.1890, John from Boherbee his father Maurice, Mary from Rock Street her father Timothy McEnery,  Witness Timothy and Michael McEnery
book 5 page 81 entry no,7 record identied KY-RC-Ma 88003

I would think McCarthy is common name in Tralee.
