Where is Camberwell Road?

Hi all, have been searching high and low for Camberwell Road in the 1891 census. I have a death certificate that states he lived in Camberwell Road but died in St. Saviour Union Infirmary East Dulwich. I have searched through Ancestry looking at the registration districts for Camberwell in Peckham but have not come across this road.

What I would like if possible is the piece and folio/page number but anny help would be great. Thanks

According to The National Archives:

Class: RG12
Piece: 356 and 357
Folios: RG12/356/108
          RG12/357/ 76 to 82, and 86 to 88

Click on 1891 Registration Districts;
Then St Saviour;
Then C-F - then Camberwell Road is easily found!

Camberwell Road still exists today.

And the Infirmary in East Dulwich is still there ( it is a large old hospital ).  And it not too far from Camberwell Road.  About a 5/10 min journey on a good day.

My ex MIL died in this hospital.  I think it is now used mainly to house elderly patients (bed blockers, sadly).  Not a very nice place.  Was part of the old workhouse.  Ugly builiding!

In the old days of searching at the family records centre there was a street index book which listed all the streets under the registration district.

Is this freely available to view on the National Archives website?

Sorry cannot help you on your last query.  I have never got to grips the the National Archives website, I find it one of the most frustratingly non-user friendly sites I have come across...

The links didn't work KGarrad. I think the NA have removed it.  I also have problems using this site, and gave up after trying to find my way around it.
