Elizabeth Keyner
« on: Friday 25 July 14 15:31 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find the place and date of birth of Elizabeth Keyner.   She married William Milliner in Cold Ashton 1 Feb 1845.   According to her marriage certificate her father was Robert Keyner a labourer.   At the time of her marriage she lived in Cold Ashton.   Both bride and groom were shown as 'of age'.   William Milliner was born about 1822 in Cold Ashton so I guess Elizabeth would have been of a similar age.

They had 2 children, Reuben 1846 and Emma 1848.   Unfortunately Elizabeth died and was buried in Cold Ashton 6 Jan 1850 so she does not appear on the 1851 census.   William remarries in 1855.

Any help greatly appreciated, Dave

Hi Dave,
Source: Gloucestershire Family History Society (GFHS)
I can find NO trace of a baptism for Elizabeth KEYNER, but I did find the following:-
18/03/1827, KEYNEE, Harriet, dau of Robert & Hannah, a Labourer of Cold Aston, baptised at Cold Ashton Holy Trinity.
22/02/1829, KEYNEE, George, son ditto.
Also, I couldn't find a marriage for Robert & Hannah KEYNER.
Cold Aston PRs are registered in Gloucestershire Archives (GA) under St Andrew, Aston Blank:-
PFC 24 IN 1/2 1, Baptisms 1813-1844
PFC 24 IN 1/4 1, Marriages 1813-1843
I shall be in GA in the morning and will check both PRs for you.

This might be an interesting family on 1841 in COld Ashton

Robert Cainey    40 - ag lab
Hannah Cainey    40
Hariet Cainey    14
Henry Cainey    10
Alfred Cainey    5
George Cainey    2
Anna Cainey    2

n 1851 the surname appears to be Keyne, and they are living next door to some Millinders, including William, Reuben and Emma!
