Hi Tomm,

Do you have a narrower location for her birth (ie.Symondsbury, Dorset).

There seems to be a family there at the same time period as Elizabeth, with parents showing as James and Elizabeth.
All the children show Christenings as;
Mary 1746
William 1746 (maybe a twin but more likely just baptized together)
Mary 1749 (maybe the 1st Mary died)
Anne 1751
Sarah 1753
Robert 1755
Betty 1758
Grace 1760
Susannah 1764
Rose 1767
Others as well

As this name is found often in that area it mat take some sorting out.

Hi Tom
I have been having a look to see if I can help you but I am having trouble finding the marriage and burial you have given. Can you tell me where you found the marriage of James and Elizabeth? Also Elizabeths burial in Wareham.
I can see a burial for Betty Stickland 24th Feb 1764 [widow] but I think that this could possibly be the Betty Cheek that married James Stickland 5/11/1752 East Stoke. However I cannot see a Elizabeth Stickland buried age 21.

Hi LMFAO

Thanks for your reply, As I mentioned earlier " I can't see the wood for the trees on this one"

To be honest I've discounted the above lady for now and will dig around a bit more before I do anything else.

I appreciate your interest and offer of help, will post again later...............

Regards

Tom
