Callan or Cellan
« on: Saturday 18 January 14 10:39 GMT (UK) »
Hi Guys,
In a 1881 census for my 3rd great grand father, James James(b. 1831), it has his birth place has Callan, Cardiganshire, Wales. I can't find a Callan but I can find a Cellan in Cardiganshire. Do you think they are the same place? Regards, David.

Highly likely.  E's and A's are often wrongly transcribed on census entries
