Hi peramar,

Had missed your thread but found the details on a Lost Cousins newsletter.

I hope to be there.  Are any other RootsChatters planning on going?

It looks like a good day planned with lots of stalls as well as the talks.

 Hi Dudley,
Your post re FHS event in Doncaster has my antennae twitching because of the name Wolverson which you have in your list of names.
I believe I have family in common with Wolverson s in Doncaster. I attempted to contact Rosina on Genes Re united but she may no longer be a member. I believe my connection is to a family of Dentists there.
              Does this ring any bells?

Hi Thommoje,

I don't know any Wolversons in Doncaster directly, but all Wolversons seem to be traceably related (mine are back about 4 generations) and I do belong to a large group of Wolverson researchers, so if you have more details and questions feel free to contact me, either on this thread or by PM, and I can pass you questions on to the group.

Hello Peramar
Can anyone come, please?  I live in South Yorkshire but, as I don't have any Yorkshire ancestry, am not a member of a Yorkshire family history society.  I don't suppose being a member of the Birmingham and Midland would count?
Regards

Yes anyone can come

It is many years since I have been to the Doncaster FHS Fair but this year will be there with the Anguline Research Archives stand.
Cheers

Just to point out that the original post regarding the event was dated 2013

If there is no racing on you should get a very good deal at the almost adjoining hotel named after the major horse race run at Doncaster in early September. I stayed there once and it was Grand!

Hi, just a question, is this thread still current? ie, is the fair on this September or are we all mixed up  :-\

I've just looked in my latest issue of "The Doncaster Ancestor" ( the quarterly journal of Doncaster And District Family History Society) and there is no mention of it in September, however DDFHS do have their Family history day on the 18Th of October this year at Doncaster college for the deaf.
