Fountain George Page aka Shrimp & Alfred Munnings

As I was searching google with random names off my family tree, I stumbled across an article: http://www.50connect.co.uk/articles/art-by-alfred-munnings which I believe concerns my Great Grand Uncle (my Great Grandads brother) Fountain George Page (born 1890 in Jarrow). As his is an unusual name, I believe I have got this right.
There was a Fountain George Page who travelled through Norfolk with the painter Alfred Munnings and he is featured in many of Munnings' paintings under his nickname 'Shrimp'.
The dates I have for the Fountain George Page on my family tree and the Fountain who travelled with Munnings match. After his travels with Munnings, Fountain settled down in Leicester and married a lady called Nora Cunningham in 1939. His marriage certificate lists him and his wife as general dealers living on Gunthorpe Road in Leicester. I have posted this in the Leicestershire forum as I would love to know more about Fountain and Nora.
Any information would be greatly appreciated

Hi, not sure if you still use this site, fountain page was my great grandad, it is the same man in the sir alfred munnings paintings, sir alfred munnings has a autobiography which could probably answer some of your questions,
I have some pictures of him and nora would like to see my great great nan and granddads picture, i saw my cousin joseph nathan page contacted you from Australia,
 I hope you get this as it would be nice to find out some more about my family

Many thanks for your reply, I have always been confused by Fountain and Alfred Munnings... At that particular time period I cannot find any other Fountain Page's apart from my Great Grand Uncle.. What I don't understand is I actually have Fountain's birth certificate, he was born in Jarrow as his father was there working at the time (they were originally from Norfolk and they did end up returning there when Fountain was roughly a year old)... his parents names are both listed on his birth certificate and they were married. Also on Fountains wedding certificate to Nora his fathers name matches the name I have for his father on my family tree...However on various websites and I believe in Munning's autobiography if i remember correctly, they say that Fountain was an illegimate child born to a housemaid working at Narford Hall.. The home of the Fountain family from Swaffham... I can't find a trace of this Fountain.. Would love to know for definite if I have the right Fountain in my tree.. If I do.. I'm afraid I don't have any pictures of his parents.. Do you happen to know anything of Fountains background? I do have copies of his wedding certificate and birth certificate. 😊
