Richard Richards of Monmouth & Pembroke
« on: Tuesday 08 October 13 08:08 BST (UK) »
On the face of it  :-[ this should be such an easy search  ??? yet I appear to be missing something ;
Seeking any information on Richard Richards a Builder of Nantyglo Monmouthshire whose wife Jane Richards died on the 6th Apr 1852 and was buried here at Park Street Cemetery Pembroke Dock on the 09th Apr 1852. Likewise their Granddaughter Hannah Richards died at Pembroke Dock 12th June 1857 aged 11 years and buried at Park Street Cemetery on the 16th June 1857. Hannah was the daughter of John & Sarah Richards. Currently no further info known, although I’m sure someone will point me in the right direction.

Jane Richards was aged 76 years at her death in 1852. Richard Richards is understood to be alive after 1852.
Had noted the entry in Welsh Newspapers, but have no reference to Aberystruth, Mons, so did not wish to confuse by adding more placenames without evidence.
The above said there is really no other option than the one you suggest, so will be added to my research on Park Street Cemetery Headstones with a "Health Warning".
Tks for your assistance in this matter

the parish of Nantyglo was formed out of Aberystruth in 1844.

Richard's will is on the NLW site. It mentions son John, wife Jane, daughter Elizabeth married to Daniel Harris and daugher Jane, wife of William Woodhead. When he appeared as executor, John is noted as Beerhouse keeper.

But no obvious link to Pembroke Dock.

What more could one wish for.  :) :)

I had checked my index of NLoW wills and Richard was not shown, so had not bothered to check website ~ another lesson learnt.
