Census missing person
« on: Friday 02 May 14 18:33 BST (UK) »
Hi, i am trying to locate the brother of my x4 great grandfather, his name is William Wileman & he was born in Measham in 1829, he is in the 1841 census with parents Thomas & Ann, Thomas is a carpenter.

The next time we see him is in 1851 when he married Hannah Plant in Measham on 30th June 1851 however i don't have him in the census records or any of the records after 1841.

Hope someone can help.

Regards

Jason

Hi Groom, thanks for that, unfourtunately i don't think this is the William Wileman, the problem is that Measham has about 150 Wileman's in the census records. I think the William you found is William Wileman who married Hannah Smith.

Hi, on the marriage cert it says that Hannah Plant is the daughter of Thomas Plant who was a Labourer, Hannah was 21 when they married in 1851 so birth about 1830.

In 1851 there is a Hannah plant living in Appleby, the next village on from Measham who is the daughter of Thomas Plant but she is listed as born in 1838
