Fitzpatricks in the Royal Irish Constabulary
« on: Friday 24 October 14 16:24 BST (UK) »
Hello

My ancestor William Fitzpatrick, born in Queens County in 1845 was a constable in the Royal Irish Constabulary, he joined in 1867 and left in 1899

I read somewhere that constables usually were related to other members of the constabulary

Did any of William's sons join the RIC?

His children were as follows, all born in County Tipperary to Bridget McCarthy

Timothy, born 27 July 1880
Thomas, born 6 January 1886
Edward, born 10 April 1887
William, born 22 July 1889
William, born 26 April 1882

any help would be appreciated

thanks
