Lawrie Family - Penninghame, Wigtownshire

Hello,

My GGG-Grandparents were Anthony Lawrie & Agnes Reid.   They are residing here as early as 1841 (per census).   They did have at least 5 children that I am aware of.   I am a descendant from their son George....who eventually married Helen Murray in 1872.   

My GGGG-Grandparents were Peter Lawrie & Elizabeth McMillan.....and George Reid & Grace Bell.

Was wondering if anyone else is related to this/these family trees, or if you have knowledge of these families.

Anc have 4 family trees with Anthony Lawrie 1817 listed, have you tried to contact the owners of those ?

Hi Sandra,

If you are referring to "Ancestry" website.....then yes, I am aware of 3 of them......we're all related, so we pretty much have the same info.   I cannot remember if I ever looked into the 4th.   I noticed now that there are a few other "possibilities".   But unfortunately, I don't currently have a paid subscription on that website, so I am unable to view the other family trees.

But thank-you for your help.   It was greatly appreciated..... :)

Hi,

You don't need a subscription on the sister site http://www.mundia.com/gb/.
Once registered the site is free to view the trees and you are also able to contact members.
