Hello Kathleen,

I have an ancestor Samuel GEE (1743-96) of Marston St Lawrence (later Steane/Hinton-in-the-Hedges) who married an Elizabeth CALCOT (née WATSON). His father was also Samuel (c.1718-75). Are these any of yours?

I have some other collateral GEEs from Marston St Lawrence as well.

my g g ggrandfather Benajamin Button was born in Wappenham,Northamptonshire, though several documents state Plumpton. His wife Emma is recorded as born in Farthingstone, apporx 1785. I dont have her maiden name but wondered if you had a marriage of Benjamin Button to Emma in the Farthingstone parish records ??

happy hunting :D

Hi Sandy
many thanks for the info. Im sure the first one must be an ancestor so Im very grateful for that step backwards.
The second one will be mine as Benjamin was born about 1779 according to 1851 census. Emma was born Farthingstone 1785.
Im very grateful for this confirmation - being very cheeky did you spot any more Buttons as Im sure the Plumpton Button originate in Wappenham.

Happy hunting
Karen
