Kemps in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Illinois

Looking for ancestors of William Kemp, b. 1836 in Fayette Co., PA, married to Adelia Springer. Family is found in Illinois later.

I have seen claims that William's father was Charles – or Charles Henry or John Charles – Kemp, b. 1790 in New Jersey and later moved to Pennsylvania, but I have no source material to confirm that. Appreciate any direction or actual facts you may have.

So I am still looking for some proof that Charles is this William Kemp's father and also of any previous generations that can be definitively connected to this Kemp branch.
