Milliepede, thanks to you, the old grey matter seems to be kicking in, I have found some old notes on the Thomas/Ann Lightfoot Family, but wondered if they Are ALL their children. Just too many...
Sarah 1866, Dan 1868, Ira 1872, Ann 1873, Frances Blake Nee Maddock 1873, John M 1875, Lena Jane 1876- 1966, Rotha 1876 - 1934, George F 1879,Ren 1879, Charles J 1880,Thomas H 1883- 1918 Edith M 1884, Albert Victor 1885 & finally 1887. My notes/records are very sketchy and I can not remember where I got these from , so any guidance would really be appreciated and I know if anyone would know then you would.
Thanks

John

Flattery will get you everywhere John ;D

By 1911 they are only claiming 6 children 3 of which have died.  So it's working out who is still around and who isn't.

In 1871 there is only Dan who is 3
In 1881 we have Dan 13 - Ira 9 - Rotha 4 - Rew 2
In 1891 Ira 19 - Rotha 14 - Rew 12
In 1901 Ira 29 - Rew 22

Ira hasn't died.

There's a granddaughter Ann Clarke born 1895.
Marriage Northwich Dec 1892 Rotha Lightfoot/Edward Clarke so they were probably her parents.

Rotha hasn't died.  She is with husband and quite a few children all born Barnton.

As only 4 Lightfoot children appear on any census I would guess 2 of the 3 that died were born between census  :(

There's a Bertha baptised 30 August 1874 Barnton parents Thomas & Ann Lightfoot.  She might be one of the missing children.

Corresponding birth Northwich Sep 1874 and a death Northwich Dec 1876 age 2.

Dan hasn't died either so it must have been Rew, although I can't see a death for him, plus another little one perhaps.

The 3 still around were Rotha - Dan - Ira.

I think I must have the wrong children or at least too many of them, I did not have a Bertha, so that one is new to me, I might have to start again I think taking into account of the ones you have found.

Way too many.  Without surnames it's going to be very difficult to know who they belonged to  :-\

Frances Blake nee Maddock I can't find a marriage with those names together......ah no Blake is her middle name!

Frances Blake Maddock married daughter of Thomas Lightfoot.  But not the same Thomas Lightfoot we were doing earlier.
