Is there any hope for this photo?
« on: Tuesday 11 November 14 14:47 GMT (UK) »
This is the only known photo of my grandfather in law Richard Carroll as a young man, from about 1950. Unfortunately it was torn then "repaired" with clear tape which eventually fell off and left a brown residue. I removed some of this residue with a cotton bud and alcohol but some of it won't budge. I'd appreciate if anyone can improve it but would understand if it's beyond repair.

Wow, thanks very much everyone. I never thought it could be cleaned up so well. My wife cried when she saw them and I'm sure my mother in law will be delighted.
