Hello,

Looks as if it is your Robert.

Looked at the Cremation Register for Robert Bryce

Robert Bryce, Bayview, Aberlady, 86, Male, Married, Registered S. Davidson North Berwick,  Ashes Dispersed

Unfortunately, as it is only thirty years ago, it does not show person applying for cremation or who signed certification. The register is masked if there could be a link to possibly living people. I have found staff at Seafield very helpful. When you visit Scotland, a visit to Seafield Crematorium may tell you more.

Hi mamad,

I wonder if you could enlighten me --- how did you access the Cremation Registers at Seafield
Crematorium ? I am new to research and have never heard of this before.

Thank you
Midland

Hello Midland,

Only came online last year.

www.deceasedonline.com

This site has records for Seafield and Warriston Crematoria. Seafield burials are also included. The site doesn't cover all of the UK, however records are being added on an ongoing basis.
It also has photographs of gravestones and a map of the cemetery(need credits to purchase)
Cremation Records
Free, gives date of death and date of cremation.
Buy credits if you wish to view cremation register.
Burial Records
Free, gives date of burial
Buy credits if you wish to view burial register or who is buried in the lair.

I have found the site really valuable and have been able to make a number of connections by looking at the lair records. However, BE CAREFUL, I found some spelling of surnames inaccurate and woman are cremated using their married name. If it is a common surname, you really need to have an idea of the death year. I have emailed the site with spelling corrections and they are grateful as they can amend the records. After all, they are trying to decipher someone's handwriting to transcribe the record!

Happy hunting!

Hi mamad,

Thank you so much I have just spent an hour on line and as I have the date of deaths for

quite a number of relatives I have now found which crematorium their funerals took place.

Very grateful to you.
