                             I hope to be at Aberlady tomorrow weather permitting could you PM  all the information you have on this couple is there any likelihood of his parents having died in Aberlady to?

                            Unfortunately I had no luck at Aberlady today. The gravediggers were there and they have a plan of the cemetery and who is buried where .They have given me some advice which might help in finding your relatives . I won't be able to do this probably until the beginning of next week .
I will  to get back to you once I have any news. Did you try searching the newspapers I suggested for a death notice ?Perhaps another "Rooter" might have access to them and do a look up for you I don't know if it is a pay site or not.
If you do get any other information please let me know.

I am down in Haddington on Sunday and could check for you if they are buried there.
Failing that I will be seeing my friend  who's un undertaker who covers these districts and perhaps who could shed  more light on surrounding burial grounds.

I telephoned East Lothian Council today and one certain way of finding out where your great uncle is buried is through their Registration Department in Haddington. This would cost £13:00 per half hour for a search  if you are interested in this let me know and I shall phone and get details of how you would be able to do it from New Zealand .
I have also had an answer to my email from Mortonhall Crematorium he was not cremated there.

!st thank you for your time and effort. 

At this time giving the rate of exchange with the NZ dollar I would be reluctant to engage the Lothian Council to do a search for me.  Will giver it some further thought and get back to you later in the week.  On a public internet facility at the moment as my own computer is in the "doctors" for a repair and upgrade.

 I checked Haddington and he is not there. Had a look at local papers for you and there is no announcement either.
It looks like you need to order the certificate or else he could be in  a family lair.
Just a thought.
