Needed Birth\Baptism for Paul Murphy b.1840 to 1849 County Kilkenny
« on: Sunday 27 July 14 16:45 BST (UK) »
My great grandfather
Paul Murphy supposedly born in Kilkenny,
going by census 1901 c.1840.
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Waterford/Waterford_Urban_No__3/Barrack_Street/1764168/

Going by death cert 3-3-1907 Age Given 58  (I have a civil research copy)

Waterford Gaol record from 1901 (truancy) also states Kilkenny City, Age given 61.  (1)

Paul Murphy was a Stonemason\Stone Cutter,
his father Joseph Murphy was also a Stonemason\Stone Cutter
who was deceased prior to Pauls wedding in 1882, Waterford.
I have a civil research copy of Paul's wedding in 1882,
Holy Trinity Within (The Cathedral) Waterford.

I have seen somewhere that the mother of Paul Murphy was " Ellen "
(can't find it currently)

Hello Frank.

Not sure if you have the information you were seeking yet.......

But the ONLY baptism for a Paul Murphy, with a father Joseph, baptised 1845 +/- 5 years was

Baptised September 6th 1840
Address Dunbell Parish/ District Gowran, Co Kilkenny
Father Joseph Murphy, mother Margaret Bergin.

Sponsers were William Shea and Mary Bergin

I  did look in all Counties, just to make sure
