Thanks for that. I agree the 1851 record looks good.
So where are they in 1861? I am still thinking they may be on the 'missing' emuneration district 17. I shall try and contact ancestry to see if they can explain the missing record.
If I have them in 1851 and 1871 as well as the birth cert for 1862 maybe I should be happy with that but I do like a full story!

I have contacted Ancestry and they are going to look into the 'missing' emuneration district.
The 1851 census says Lettice Augustus/Jones was born in Llechryd, Cardiganshire.
In 1841 there is a Joshuah and Mary Augustus living in Llechryd with a daughter Martha so maybe that is where the Lettice/Letitia name ends or should that be starts? Lettice herself is probably a servant in Llandefeilog, not far from Abergwili.
And so the search goes on.
