I have previously had posts on Roots about Bernard Rafferty but have not asked the following question..He immigrated to Pennsylvania around 1906/07 can anyone tell me who he went to live with when he went there...thks

Ree, wouldn't this be better on the American board? Would American censuses be the best place to find him? Or are there any immigration records available in America? Have you checked the Ellis Island website? There are a couple of Bernard Raffertys listed.

The 1930 census, which was found previously, gives an immigration date of 1925.  There is a possible match for him with an arrival of 1926 here - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KXMJ-241  The second page of the passenger list image lists his father as John of Carfin and says he was going to join an aunt Mrs. Mary Hanley of Haverhill, Massachusetts.
