Derender?
« on: Friday 19 September 14 08:58 BST (UK) »
Dear All,

I'm looking into the Barnard branch of my family tree at the moment. On the 1841 census for the parish of Stanstead Abbots one child of William and Amelia Barnard has her name transcribed as Derender is that really a girls names, or has it been mis-read by the transcriber. I cannot make the name out myself - can any of you make more sense of it?  Thanks very much indeed.

Gavin

Oh yes - that would have been quite new name then, if the baby name webpages are to be believed. Thanks

I've never heard this name before - good to know it lived on at least that far!

Tony could you send a link to me for that that record, please? The Derender I'm looking at was a girl in Stanstead Abbots, Herts in 1841 (aged 10)
