a little while ago I was helped from rootschat to help find my ancestor  from Glasgow  I found out he was  80 years old when he died in London  in 1952 on his marriage lines it said his father was Robert Stevenson a shoemaker and im led to believe his mother was annie marshall  from Ireland  who along with her family went to Scotland  rootschat found him born in 1866  which made him older but  you also found his brothers and sisters. and I found his children all to have same name as his siblings .im still stuck with  david and his father and haven't gotten any further .my relative who did manage to  tell me some bits has since past away   and the younger generation  didn't know him at all so ive no one else to ask  any help would truly be appreciated  .

Hi Tracey

The original topic was from 2008
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=330838.0

Where you've added a recent update that expands a bit more on the above.
Also the original topic provides us with information that helps us 'lookers'.

Since it's a continuation of the same topic,  Rootschatters : perhaps all replies should go there - to keep in all in once place.

Cheers
