HARRISON 1847 Wexford
« on: Saturday 06 September 14 17:43 BST (UK) »
Hello

I have very little information on this family.
All I know is that Elizabeth Jane Harrison was born in Wexford, and the date I have is 16 Sept 1847.
Her father was Alexander Harrison and he also was born in Wexford.
Unfortunately this is all I know.
Any information was be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
Kathy

"dukeslane"
I do not know what part of Wexford the family is from.
A family letter suggests an involvement in the "Scullabogue Barn Horror". So maybe Near Ross?

Tara
Elizabeth Jane Harrison (or sometimes Jane Elizabeth) marries Samuel Crute 1868 in Toronto.
The same family letter mentioned above states that Alexander Harrison marries the widow Duffin "somewhere in Wexford county".
Although on Jane's death certificate it states her mother was Mary Boxhall.
On Jane's marriage registration it states her mother as Elizabeth Harrison.

I know this is a needle in a haystack situation.  But you never know.

Thank you both for your time,
Kathy

Hi There

Was there ever any mention of Alexander's occupation ?

Where have you gotten that the family were from Wexford ?

DUFFIN ~ BOXHALL ~ HARRISON

Duffin is the only one of these that features in any great way in Wexford.

Thank you again Tara,

I believe the initial Wexford reference was on Jane Elizabeths's wedding registration to Samuel Crute.
But I can't find it at the moment. >:(
The letter states:
"Alexander was married to the widow Duffin somewhere in Wexford Co supposed to have owned Bally??? castle and lived there had three little children Robert, Elizabeth Jane and Charles who died when about six years old."
