Looking for any records of Robert McAlexander aka variation surname Alexander who by 1717 worked in customs and excise at Irvine Ayr. He was son of Hugh McAlexander of Dalreoch, Ayr. I already have a copy of the petition of the children of Hugh 1716 that mentions his children as seen on line. I would like to find out if Robert had married and had children of his own, any historical account on him, record of his death or burial if it exists. Help appreciated
