Thank you so much Kim, I was all for giving up as I was getting no where fast LOL !

That is definitely the McCarron family, most of them were born in Faughanvale, Co.Derry before moving over to Scotland.

Maybe James O'Hara & Ann Grieve didn't leave Ireland with Michael as he is showing up alone as a Lodger on the 1871 census,

Anyway I will carry on & I will let you when I strike gold.

Hello All, just a little pointer the 1871 census given for Edward McCarron, and family is actually the 1881 census. Thus the absence of young Agnes McCarron, who married Michael O'Hara. in 1877.

Here is Michael, and Agnes, in 1881.

Address Smylum, 2 Cottage, Lanark, Lanark.

Michael O'Hara, Head Ag Labourer, M. age 30 years, M. born Ireland,
Agnes McCarron, Wife, M. age 24 years, F. born Ireland,
Agnes O'Hara, Dau, age 3 years, F. born Carluke, Lanark,
James O'Hara, Son, age 1 year, M. born Lanark, Lanark,
Bridget O'Hara, Dau, Age 1month, F. born Lanark, Lanark.

Regards
Jonn.
