I think I have solved the mystery of Celia  she was born in Edinburgh in 1858 illegitimate daughter of Isabella Melrose -- Celia Jane Bertram Melrose ---- Isabella was born in 1826 in West Linton daughter of William Melrose and Cecilia Jane Bertram she died in 1888 in Edinburgh her nephew W. Melrose of the same address 36 Madeira Street Leith registered her death.( William and his wife Margaret  lived in West Linton from their marriage in 1845 their children were all born there)
Isabella Melrose  is named as Celia's mother and William Stark her father when she marries John Bailey in Roslin in 1894.
Ceilia Jane Stark wife of John Bailey -- mother Mary Stark  on death cert.( there are no other births for Celia Stark except the one Piglet mentioned born in  1860)  died at Greenend Liberton near Edinburgh in 1900.

As yet I have not been able to find them on census.

Your opinion please do you think my theory possible.
Regards,
Jessie
