Title: Morgans of Cookstown
Post by: Tyresson2012 on Wednesday 25 September 13 12:31 BST (UK)
Hi

Trying to find out some information on my grandmother Margaret Morgan born in Cookstown, County Tyrone.  She married Samuel Montgomery he was born in Portglenone, County Antrim but moved to Cookstown married around the 1930s/1940s (i think).

Her father was James Morgan as far I can gather.

Hi

Sorry only seeing this now, Margaret was born in 1922 at Ardtrea, Cloghog (pronounced Clog) just outside Cookstown.

Statutory records of Births, deaths and marriages in Northern Ireland from 1.1.1922 onwards are not on-line, so it’ll be hard for anyone to give you the details of the events you have mentioned unless they happen to know the people. You would need to contact GRONI in Belfast to look the statutory records up. http://www.nidirect.gov.uk/gro

Yea I was aware of that about the online records.  I posted here hoping maybe someone may come across it by chance and know of the person/s mentioned.

Thanks anyway
