William Greer

William Greer possibly born in 1877 have not been able to  locate a birth for in Antrim. Possible parents James Greer and Elizabeth Reid. [This info is from his death certificate in 1975]
William married Isabella Wilson [1892-1921] on 9 Feb 1921 Agnes St Church, Shankill, Belfast then
on 22 July 1922 married Maude Steele at Templepatrick Presbyterian Church.
On 29 December 1925 arrived in Wellington New Zealand with his wife & family.
Would anyone have any knowledge of William before 1921?

1921 seems a bit late for a first marriage if he was born in 1877- does his 1st marriage list him as bachelor? what's his residence & occupation? father's name & occupation? names of both witnesses?

Is this the Isabella you think was the first wife?
Isabella Greer, age 29, died 30 Dec.1921 Belfast district.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Marriage cert says he is a bachelor living in Carnance, Templepatick. Father  James is deceased. Witnesses: Agnes Bill [Aunt of Isabella] and Albert Usher [do not know].

yes Isabella died on 20 Dec 1921.

I had a search on https://geni.nidirect.gov.uk/ for a William Greer birth, mother Reid and found one hit:

William born on 24 May 1880, mother Reid, registered in Antrim.  Registration number U/1880/2/1001/6/347.   Full record available for 5 credits (£2).

Hi,
   I have searched for a James Greer/Elizabeth Reid marriage with no success. The closest I can find are 23 Jul 1874 William Greer married Annie Reid in St. Agnes Church of Ireland, Belfast and 0n 8 Jan 1879 Hugh Greer to Elizabeth Reid in Eglinton Street Presbyterian Church, Belfast.
